Discover The Digital Athenæum

The Digital Athenæum is a collection of over 1200 PDFs of public domain books from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries for my personal research needs, primarily concerning English colonial America. These include court records, deeds, documentary histories, period publications, town histories, publications of historical societies, among other things. In a different era, one would physically have had to visit antiquarian societies, libraries, archives, town historical societies, and yes, actual athenæums to be able to access these books, many of which were printed in very limited subscription runs. After harvesting, curating, and tweaking my collection, I realized it deserves to be shared with others, so I conceived of the Digital Athenæum. Visit site to join Digital Athenæum
