Photos covering his time spent as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II. Included in the scrapbook book are photographs of Tyler and his fellow squad during drills, meeting Eleanor Roosevelt at the White House, and other aspects of army life while stationed in the Pacific. The scrapbook also includes articles written about Tyler during the war. There is also a collection of love poems written between Tyler and his wife during World War II.
