
Quaker, Abolitionists, and Suffrage Activists Elizabeth Buffum Chace (1806-1899) was the daughter of Arnold Buffum and Rebecca Gould and direct descendant of early Quakers Daniel Gould who published "A Brief Narration of the Suffering of the People Called Quakers"; and Salem, Massachusetts Quakers Robert Buffum; Thomasine Ward; Caleb Buffum and Hannah Pope; and John Coggeshall.
