George Dudley Seymour (1859-1941) was a Progressive Era visionary whose advocacy and affection for the Connecticut’s cultural and physical environment has never been improved upon. He was a movement in one man bringing all the elements of conservation, preservation and civic memory together to affect change. His skill at inspiring public engagement, nurturing organizational change and working the levers of political influence – are a textbook in advocacy and devotion to a cause. William Hosley
